V-A-C-A-T-I-O-N (part two)

I've had this post saved for about two weeks now. I figured I should finish it before we head out for vacation #3 tomorrow :)


On July 4th we had the opportunity to see Uncle Brad, Auntie Stephanie and cousin Alex.

July 5th we headed out to Bethany Beach, DE. BJ just loves his Mommom :)

BJ's first trip to the beach...and he's sportin' the mohawk because he's so cool. (Actually...it was the sunscreen in his hair that made it stay. And it wasn't very cool - it was one of those 100 degree days)

Instead of playing in the ocean, cousins Tommy and BJ played in the baby pool. It was more their speed.

Gotta get all of that sand off!

V-A-C-A-T-I-O-N !! (part one)

Where to start...

The first week of our two week vacation is now over. We did a lot of traveling to visit old friends - and to show off BJ:) Last Friday we drove up to NY to go to the high school graduation for the school Brian used to teach at.

We did a lot of entertaining in the car. BJ was very patient.

Brian's mom, stepdad, and sister came down from MA to stay for the weekend in NY. They haven't seen BJ in many months.

We stopped by to visit our good friends: Jeff, Gretchen, and Ellie. It was their first time meeting BJ. We sure do miss living near them!

Next we drove to Clarks Summit, PA. Baptist Bible College holds a basketball camp that Brian brings some of his student athletes to. We stayed with our friend Rachel instead of staying in the dorms. Thank you, Rachel, for opening up your home for us!!

BJ tried green beans for the first time at Rachel's house. It was priceless!!!

At BBC we were able to have a playdate with Amy and her son JJ. JJ was born 10 days before BJ. It was nice to have a playdate with a boy that was the same age as BJ. We went to Chuckee Cheese (first time for me and BJ!) because we were meeting several other ladies and kids there.

I love this picture of Brian and BJ. We were just spending family time around the pond at BBC. BJ is such a little lover!

We made sure to catch some of the basketball games. I mean, the whole reason why we were in PA was to go to Defender basketball camp. BJ loves to watch the kids run back and forth on the court.

Our last stop on this vacation was York, PA to visit one of my college friends. Faithe and I were in the same FLOCKS group (small group Bible study). She made us a delicious lunch and she entertained BJ with a toy train (BJ had never played with a train before this:) ). I miss Faithe!!

And now we are home for the day (Happy 4th of July!). Tomorrow we are headed to Bethany Beach, DE to meet up with my family for the week. Whoo-hoo!!
