BJ likes to do things at his own pace. He began crawling at 9 months, walking at 13 1/2 months, and his first word was "ball" at 14 months. His vocabulary was stuck at one word for the longest time. Everything was "ball." His vocabulary has exploded in the past 2 weeks to include words like: duck, cheese, juice, drink, kitty, bubbles, apple, and eat. He doesn't say the full word but portions of it. For cheese he says "ees." For duck, "ck." You get the idea. And sometimes he'll try to say something if you ask him to, which usually ends up as an "ah" sound if he doesn't know how to say the word. It is so exciting for me to hear BJ's voice. I can't wait til we can have conversations and I can find out what goes on in that little brain of his!
