Rolling Over

BJ is becoming a pro at rolling over. Well, at least from his back to his front. He hasn't even attempted to roll over from tummy to back. And it's kind of funny...he doesn't like being on his tummy too much. He likes to roll over, but once he does he just complains!!

First you gotta roll to the side.

Then you wiggle your hips until they flip over. But don't forget about the arm that's tucked under!

Tada!!

Sitting Pretty

BJ can sit up all by himself!

And this is just a really cute picture of my boy. I love his face!

Gimme the steak and potatoes!

BJ has started eating solid food! Last Saturday he tasted rice cereal for the first time. He did a wonderful job eating off the spoon. He didn't open his mouth too wide; he discovered that he could just suck the cereal off the spoon. BJ didn't have any reaction at all. Maybe because the rice cereal was so "watered down" with the breastmilk. Per the pediatrician's instructions we are going to stick with just rice cereal until his 6-month checkup. So that means no cute pictures of BJ with peas or prunes or carrots all over his face for a couple weeks. Here's a few pictures of his first time tasting the cereal:

Dave & Busters

Two weeks ago we went to Dave & Busters with the girls soccer team. Brian and I had fun. BJ wasn't too thrilled.

Tastes Like Chicken

BJ is at the stage in development where everything he gets his hands on goes into his mouth. He loves playing with Daddy's hands. And, if you remember what I just said, he has recently started licking Daddy's hands (and my finger as I'm typing this with one hand). So BJ, what do Daddy's hands taste like?

Send in the Clowns

BJ started wearing 3-6 months clothing when he was 2 months old. Mostly onesies and pajamas were the problem. The body of the 0-3 month onesies were too tight and short while the pajamas were too short in the arms and legs. I know that clothing manufacturers make clothing sizes different. In my experience Gerber clothing runs small while Carter clothing runs big. Well, in March I put these 3-6 month pajamas on BJ and I laughed out loud. They were HUGE and he looked like a clown to me. Really, who puts a collar on PJs? (in the PJs defense...they are extremely soft and cozy!)

Last night I wanted to see if BJ filled out these PJs any more. It's been almost two months now. The PJs are still a little big but BJ is bigger too!

20 weeks

BJ is 20 weeks old. Time is flying by! Since this week has been rainy and I wasn't about to venture outdoors with BJ, I decided to have a "photo shoot" with BJ. Here are some of my favorite pictures:

And this one is from Mother's Day. I love being BJ's Mommy!
